Our wool

Wool processing from our actual woolen mill in New Zealand.

From raw wool to finished roving.

Looking at sheep always reminds me of the nursery rhyme most of us grew up with. Did you ever wonder what it meant?

"Baa, baa black sheep have you any wool?
Yes sir, yes sir three bags full!
One for the master, one for the dame, one for the little boy that lives down the lane."

Hi Michelle, thank you for your comment. We find that with our production rate it is most efficient to order from our supplier in New Zealand. That being said some of our wool actually comes from Eastern Canada, they supply us with a variety of colours not yet offered in New Zealand. I hope this answers your question.

Why don’t you use Canadian wool?

Hi There! May I ask who your supplier is for the 6 ply wool? Now that Birkland Bros has closed in Vancouver I’m looking for a new place to pick up this style of yarn?
    Any help would be appreciated!
    Stay warm!
