Starting on the West Coast in late May, CBC Radio 3 host Grant Lawrence (wearing the official CBC X Granted sweater) will jump behind the wheel of a brand new 2013 Volkswagen Beetle Fender Edition. Grant will roar across the country, from Vancouver to Toronto, interviewing and recording performances by many of your favourite bands at every stop along the way.
Each performance will be posted here on CBC Music, and a weekly best-of video highlight reel from the trip will air on George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight on CBC television. Grant will also check in daily from the road on CBC Radio 3.
During what promises to be a thoroughly rockin' road trip, you'll have a chance to meet Grant for brunch in each city along the way, and have a chance to win a Fender guitar signed by every band and artist that crosses Grant's path on this epic voyage. Details to be announced soon.
What bands between Vancouver and Montreal do you think Grant Lawrence should meet up with? What are your favourite Canadian road trip anthems? What are the can't-miss roadside attractions between Vancouver and Toronto on the Trans-Canada Highway?

Our artist friend Mr.Shiga made a wonderful handmade Granted sign for our showroom. With his artist skills and background he was able to create a sign that complimented the handmade aspects of our brand
It only took a piece of drift wood, wood varnish, nails, wool and imagination, from there he was able to make a regular piece of wood into something amazing. Take a look at some of the steps taken when building this wooden sign.
Local driftwood found along Vancouvers 3rd beach. The piece was polished and varnished with some antique finish stain.
Nails placed outlining our Granted font.
Finished logo with the placed nails painted white so they can bee seen on the drift wood. Kind of has a analog "Tron" like feel eh?
Our wool carefully placed within the walls of the nails.
Finished driftwood sign. All handmade just like our sweaters. Now it just needs to be hung up in our showroom!
